Default First Model Shoot

Here's a shot of the first model shoot I did. The model is my wife. It was taken with only sunlight coming through the window. It was taken at f4 and 1/4 of a second handheld. Obviously it's a bit more blurry than I'd like due to the low light/slow shutter speed. I did a bit of a cross process effect in PS to mute the colors. (Also basic unsharp mask and bump to exposure)

What's everyone think?

I love it!!!!! Great shot, especially considering it was handheld!

Yeah her eyes are very dark brown. In fact the sharpening I did probably lightened them a bit.

Excellent shot! If you can get her to pose some more, you should fill up your portfolio. Shots like this will definitly get you some business. I especially like the way the light enters her right eye, showing the golden highlights. Keep up the good work. You're well on your way.

As one of black/brown eyes, I can really appreciate the depth in her gorgeous eyes.

What a lovely shot, nice lighting, and such a great model at your disposal! Or beck and call... or...

Take more photos of her - you can't go wrong!

Striking eyes! Did you do anything to subdue the catchlights? Did the cross-processing cause the highlight detail to be lost in her hair? Nice work!

Very nice shot, well done. I can't help but wonder though how the shot would look with a little less light on the right side of the face, possibly giving the face a bit more depth?

geat work.
