Talking My dog playing in the snow

Thoughts? This is my fave pic of him (photography-wise) so far

Edit: By the way, I didn't do any PP - straight from my camera to here.

Has this been cropped? It would be nice to see the tips of his ears. Otherwise, this is a really good shot. I love the lighting and composition.

That is one beautiful dog. I love the contrast. My only nitpick is the ears. Great shot!

filemanager,

I think the issue with the crop is that it looks more like you inadvertently cut off the tips of his ears.

In cropping, losing some ear would be acceptable in a tight crop, where you really get in there and get rid of much of the background. You can give it a try with this photo.

I like the lighting - looks like the sun was getting ready to set, casting its golden rays on him...

I love this photo. What a beautiful dog. I didn't notice the ears until someone else mentioned it. I love the sharpness, expression, bokeh, color. It's all excellent.
He looks like he's really enjoying the snow.

Thanks everyone!

As I said in my original post... no PP, and I didn't do any cropping. It's unfortunate the tips of his ears are a little cut off (which I didn't even notice, actually), but he only stood there for a second and he was off jumping in the snow again! He's only 1.5 years old, so he's quite active still.

hmm, I'm playing around with a tighter crop, but I can't decide what would look the best. What do you recommend?

Something like this?:
