Anybody notice anything out of the ordinary about above post?

TomTomTomTuning,

The 'Rules' for this Critique Forum

You can help us by posting one photo at a time. 1865 other members also want an equal opportunity to show their work. It is less effective for your Critique to bounce back and forth between two (or more) shots at once.

Generally, critique threads are supposed to be one shot, or one shot with one or two variations.

Also, the mods like smaller pictures that we can click if we want full size. More on that here:
How to Post Pictures in Assignment Threads Using Flickr

Not trying to pick on your or anything, just letting you know.

As far as the pictures, you have some great locations, and obviously the car looks good to begin with. Some nice concepts, and I'd definitely revisit the castle-looking place.

jdepould,

That's how it goes: a few slide by with two, and invariably someone will raise it to an impossible level to Critique. It seems minor, until you ask yourself where will your next post end up, and how much time will be left to get it critiqued.

Sorry about... More then one picture, and over 600px width. I remove the other pictures which weren't much important to me. But i left the 2.

CC is appreciated, what could have been done differently?

Right now i am doing mostly automobiles but am about to setup a studio in my garage, so until then i have been taking pictures of my car.

Yeah, although if there's more than one version of a shot it makes sense (to me at least) to include in the thread.

The first image I think is signficatnly better. The subject in the photo (the car) is more defined inside the frame. Also the angle of the car is more pleaing instead of a direct head on shot like the 2nd image. I think the postion of the car in the 1st image with the background of the 2nd would look best.

TomTomTomTuning,

Which of these two do you think is better, or which one needs more work? That's also a part of the one-photo-at-a-time guideline. I have 15 shots of the same dandelion, in different compositions and lighting. Why don't I put them in a thread and ask members to choose for me, or tell me how they see each one? Because in the process of having to choose one, I am also sharpening my critical eye, something you'll have to do if you ever show your work to a client. I also know after many posts, it works better.

My choice is to not Critique a post that chooses to snub the posted guidelines. If I give comment, it sets an unfortunate precedent, so you'll do it again, as was illustrated yesterday. Many members will post extras through enthusiasm, not reading the guidelines, or not being able to pick one.

Will life go on without my Critique? Absolutely
Will the earth spin off its axis if you post two photos? Unlikely
Will this section provide a more thorough and effective Critique, one photo at a time? It has been running over a year, and the results show it will.
