Default Flowerglow

Took this late last night. It's my daughters lamp on her bedroom wall. Not so sure about the image as a whole myself.

Thoughts?

spellbound,

As a photo, it's sharp, darkly colorful, and has a limited background interest. Positioned this way, it feels as if it's about to leave the frame, by falling or just continuing its move in that down-and-left direction. Moving it up and right might help.

As a subject, it's a product, not a real grabber of attention. It is a good test of your camera's exposure handling. Yeaaa, Canon!

I agree with Jim about the positioning. If it were at the other side of the picture the composition may feel less like the flower is leaving the frame. I think that it's an interesting picture though, if nothing else because it's a somewhat unusual light and the glow looks quite nice.

Yea...handheld.

Shot it in RAW (first time) as I had not adjusted the camera back from when I was playing around with the settings.

spellbound,

I love IKEA! Once I got over the labelling weirdness, I put far too much cash into their till. Product shots can be fun, especially when placed in uncommon circumstance.
