Default Cemetery Statue In B&W

I really liked this shot - It did not do really well on Flickr. What went wrong?

In The Garden Of Eternal Life

If you have a sec take a look at the large size - I think it helps

marc_714,

For all the others, I cannot say. It is cut off at an unfortunate level of the statue. Maybe ALL of the statue, less of the trees. Or ALL of the trees without the statue. Or back up and get them both.

If the dark outer ring was post-applied, maybe LESS dark.

Otherwise it's perfect.

Hi,
A very dramatic shot. I agree with the comments by jiminyClickit. At this stage I would crop the bottom so that only the heads of the statues and the trees make up the photograph.
Thanks for sharing.

the way the tree frames the picture is brillant ,maybe get down really low to get more of the tree and statues in frame and it would give it a creepy angle
to go with the b&w and cementry feel

First glance, looks dramatic. But as you really take a good look at it, the image seems to be extremely busy with each part competing for attention. Just my opinion.

I like the idea..but you have to go back and try another angle. A little more of the statue. That is, as mentioned before pretty harsh cut of at the feet.

And I think your corners are to dark, looks like vignetting.
