hello everyone and thank you for the kind words! it was a small hallway, and i had a 50-200mm 2.8-3.5 oly lens. the reason i had mom step back and blurr mom, i was thinking i wanted baby who represented the now and future, and have mom off in the background as the now and looking forward to the future kind of a family tree thing! anyway, thank you again! john

I love the light! Only, the baby seems a bit left aside, I think she doesn't get all the attention, but the different focusing adds a great effect.

It does look like mom's looking at the camera (or photographer) in the mirror; maybe it'd be stronger with her looking at the child. But I'm more interested in the stronger eye-line of the child — what's she looking at? Her mom back off-shot? Kinda? I think the photograph would have more impact if that were more definite.

I like the shot, including the Mom, she looks proud. I also love the fingerprints of the baby all over the mirror, but then you look over and see the baby so clearly.

Default my friend brian's lil girl and her mom

I like the fact that that you capture the shot from the eye level of the baby.. It conveys their world from the eyes of a baby... But I like to see the foot of the baby also.. It seems that to hide the edge of the mirror you crop that so tight....
