Default Mirrored Slopes

Sorry one more from me today that's it, I promise! I just love getting feedback from you guys and improving my shots.

This one was also taken snow shoeing. I love how this barn had almost the exact same slope line as the mountains behind it. The barn looked so interesting and ancient too I just had to catch it.

As always, feedback is desperately needed!

Wow that's cool! The mountains almost look fake! hehe I like the parallel slopes also!

Though the mountains and sky are sort of blending in together... maybe make the snowy mountains more white, if possible?

Thanks for the comment!!

I do notice the mountains kind of looking almost unreal. I think that may be because they are out of focus, but I thought that added to the image. I think next time I may try to make the mountains more out of focus on a shot like this. They are kind of in the middle right now of purposely out of focus and purposely in focus! lol! =)

I will try your suggestion of editing the color in the sky to get some contrast between it and the mountains.

Thanks again for your suggestion, it is very much appreciated!!!

lovely scene.....and i can appreciate what you saw when you framed the barn against the mountains.....the overall blue cast of the snow is troublesome for me though, and i feel some post work correcting it would add to the image.....

Default Edited Mirrored Slopes

Okay so I did some very minor color correction in photoshop and I think this image looks a little better as far as the color is concerned. Any other suggestions for improvement?

Also, as a side note, my hubbie suggested putting a hint of red into the whole photo to add some richness to the wood. I am almost partial to the photo without red added to it as I think the red takes away from the beautiful weathered look, but I'd love your feedback as to what you think is more effective...

I like it better without the red. You did a nice job fixing the white, and adding the red takes away from that by making the snow pink-tinged. You may want to clone out the little post (?) in the front right, and slightly straighten the horizon, but I think it's very nice as it is.

Thanks Annie!! I just told my husband "neener neener neener" because I thought the pic without the red looks better as well! =)

I did forget to clone the post out of the front of the shot before I posted it, thanks for pointing that out!

I appreciate your feedback. I actually did a quick fix on the horizon level as i was not able to get a flat shot with the slope/snow shoe situation I was in, but it does need some more correction. Thanks so much for your comment!
