Default First Post with first decent camera....

This is a shot from the back of a ferry in SC. Used fast shutter speed to freeze the gulls flapping and had to use flash as it was pretty dark and overcast. Zoomed in by about 8x.

Camera: Olympus SP550UZ
Exposure: 0.002 sec (1/640)
Aperture: f/3.6
Focal Length: 11.1 mm
ISO Speed: 100
Exposure Bias: 0/10 EV
Flash: Flash fired

No post processing. (yet)....

What you rekon?

edowit,

There may be sharper shots around, but few with a flight formation this good. A little tight on left side, but I'd buy it. Lightening some would bring a sunlit simulation. Good shot.

Wow what a great shot! I can't believe how you caught these in motion! I am still struggling with that a lot. Can't say I have a whole lot of criticism other than lightening the shot as jiminy suggested already. Excellent capture!!! =)

A great shot indeed! congrats on finding shuch a formation of seagulls ready to be shot. How are you likeing the 550? I was trying to decide between it and the Panisonic FZ8, ended up going with the latter. Did I make the right choice?
