Nice shot, it's always difficult getting mother nature to sit still long enough to take a decent photo, well done. The DOF is perfect for a portrait, nice & sharp around the eyes and beak being the focal points. I would'nt cange a thing.

I agree. I love the shot and you've captured the eye perfectly, which from what I've been told is one of the most important things when shooting nature. I think you could have made it work to do a full shot of the hawk rather than just the head, if you wanted to, but I think this works beautifully. Nice shot!!! =)
