Default A flaming pumpkin

Hello all again,

This is a photo I took a while ago - back on Halloween. I try to do a fairly "extreme' pumpkin once a year, and thanks to the wonderful guys at ExtremePumpkins.com, I had a recipe for a flaming squash.

FirePumpkinTall1-Small

I've heard that photographing fire is difficult, but I do like how this came out. Comments on what is good or bad about this year's attempt will hopefully make next year's even more fun.

Model: Canon EOS 30D
Lens: EF 28-135 IS USM
Shutter Speed: 1/20 second
F Number: F/8.0
Focal Length: 75 mm
ISO Speed: 100

haha i love this.

But as for photographing fire, you did a great job. It's amazing that you got that good of an exposure with that lens. it tends to act up on me. and at iso 100! it must have been pretty bright around there, but you made it seem like it wasn't. truely magnificent. great job!

The expression on the pumpkin's "face" is very fitting haha....great shot IMO.
