Default Sunset in Central Australia

This phot was taken in Dec 07 on a recent trip to Uluru. A small storm was approaching. I am interested in peoples comments on how I may have improved the shot?

Cheers

Stuart

For me, this shot is awesome. The colours are incredible.

If its not broken, don't fix it. I'm not a huge fan of post-shot-processing; how did the guys back in the 'old days' do it?

Nice enough shot . It depends what you wanted to capture and if the result is what you like . Some people like more foreground (working in thirds)

Personally I think the sky is the particular subject you wanted to capture as it was spectacular so anything else can be seen as a distraction unless you are using the foreground to balance the shot.

stuali62,

Even a quarter of the composition being landmass would help; it's somewhat like tree branches coming in from the sides and top: when is it enough to count, instead of detract? Your decision, your shot. Sky could almost carry the whole subject responsiblity.

not sure what fstop you used but next time stop the lens down more to get the clouds in the field of focus. Try F 11 - F 16 next time.
