Default Modelling Seagull

Not sure if this turned out as expected or if it would have been better left as a color photo. Any comments and critiques are welcome.

I think it works well as a black and white. Nice tonal range. Thanks for the extensive EXIF data. Have you tried blurring the busy background even more in Photoshop?

Thank you for the feedback. I have not tried blurring the background more...but will certainly give it a shot to see.

BCP,

Because the gull is lighter than b/g, this looks good in b/w, whereas in color the difference might not be as noticeable or as effective. If you frame next time leaving a little more room on left in front of gull, balance will be achieved.
