Hi Vishi. I ,too, like the sound of waves breaking. Nice straight horizon and 1/3 - 2/3 composition. However the image needs a bit more interest than the lone crash of the waves on the rocks. Since the sky was so plain, perhaps concentrating more on the water and waves would have made for a stronger image. Do you have any stock sky shots with clouds that could be added to this image? Thanks for sharing your moment at the shore with us.

vishi,

Months ago, a similar shot was posted, taken from a lower angle to show wave against sky. Very effective, almost felt like you would be wet in a second.

The top, right, and bottom areas of your photo could be cropped a little here to bring viewer even closer to the crash. There is nothing much in those areas, and with 1/3 sky, 1/3 wave, 1/3 rock, you would get a sense of the wave's power.

Here's how I would've cropped it:

I also adjusted levels, color, brightness etc. and removed noise just a bit.

Nice image, just needs a little more work. Thanks for sharing.

Laters...

Sorry Vishi but it's a bit more of a "Sploosh" than a "Crash"
