Another husband shot..

After reading the replies on my last post, I took this picture and darkened it a bit, and there is more of the tree in the original picture, but I cropped most out as to center the photo more on my husband:

Thank you! This was the original before I centered him...

Better, although maybe I'd push him even more into the upper right corner. The photo might also be more interesting if either we'd see his eyes, or we'd see what he's looking at. Or maybe give an indication that explains why we're not seeing either.

You did good. Soon they'll come out of the camera this way. It's just look and practice, over and over.

Why did you decide on B&W? And if you did that in PP did you think about adjustments to contrast/levels?
