These photos were taken on a bright day, just outside my patio. Plants are no more than 2 feet high. Comments and Suggestions please...

visualreality, Welcome

Although it pleasantly reminds me of walking in Winter as a youngster, it also feels like it's tipping to the right. The lighting in the separate layers of snow (bottom center) is especially nice. Could be better with a more definite subject, odd leaf, feather, any contrasting element.

You can link to other pictures for those who want to get a better sense of the context in which they were taken.

Anyway, back to this one - I think it works very well. Lots of lines but there is a sense of pattern to them, being very dense over on the right and sparser on the left. The blocks of snow, sky and very out of focus background provide a good background for the criss-cross geometry.

One thing that might have pushed the picture a little further forward would have been a touch more light from the foreground (either a reflector or a low-power flash) but you would need to keep it light enough so as not to lose the backlighting effect.

Nice work.

Wulf
