Poolee0311,

You got your shadows this time. Is the lighting as contrasted as you wanted? It seems muted, without highlights.

The examples you posted last time were good for showing the entire weapon and keeping it in focus. Here you've only shown a little of this weapon and part of it is OOF. That leads me to ask what you want to do with these photos. If you were selling trigger and magazine housings, this would be good. For a sense of what this item's general description is, it needs to be turned longways, equal distance from the camera from muzzle to buttplate, and lighted with another source along with natural, from a different direction. Experiment, you'll find two lights can make round things rounder and boxy things more three-dimensional.

USMC? It doesn't get any better than that. Good choice, as long as you learn how to understand and follow directions. You'll never be in better physical shape or work harder to stay that way. Good luck to you.

I was just using natural lighting through windows and it worked for the picture but its not exactly the high contrast lighting that I want.

As for the picture of the weapon, Im trying non-standard angles to make the photo interesting since where Im posting these pictures everyone knows what this of rifle looks like. Im also working on composition and subject so I am open to experiementing I guess these are just my attempt at an edgy artsy fartsy photograph. I am working on getting another lighting source but all I have right now is a flash and the sun, that and Christmas kinda killed my ability to use money for myself.

OOH-RAH!! Thank You.

Same subject different contrast and angle
