Default water drop - trial 2

hi guys,

this is my 2nd trial. i thought my previous one was a bit dark, tried with a different background.

Please critique it

This looks way too post processed for my taste. The other still had what is recognizable in a water droplet shot. In both, the droplets in the air aren't in focus and they're what need to be the focus. Also I think you've gone from a bit dark, to too much light.

It's a new camera. Try getting the original shots critiqued so you can better the photography before playing around with post processing. You seem to like macros and liquids. Try not only water droplets but playing with liquids of differing viscosities. See what happens when you try to mix things that don't mix.

You're doing well, and practice looks like fun. I remember 20 years ago seeing a photo of a drop in a bowl of milk covered with heavy motor oil. The "crown" produced was white against a dark bluish-brown.
