Woke up early to find a dense foggy very less visible sky, and then after a while the sun started to come up.
This is shot on a 400d with a borrowed 200mm lens, at the telephoto end, and is more or less straight out of the camera with a bit of cropping and curves. what i am unable to understand is the reason for color to be so unusual right around the sun, is that because of some kind of lense flare ....?? ![]() thanks

I wish I could answer your question but I am not a guru on technical stuff. I can tell you tho that I like this. The colors are strong but not obnoxious and clouds covering the sun make an interesting pattern

If you're talking about what looks to be a very faded rainbow around the sun that's exactly what it is. Fog and is just water droplets. The light is refracting through the droplets.
Very nice shot BTW.
