Default for your consideration, again

I'm pretty new to photography and even more so to Photoshop CS2. I would appreciate any input regarding these images. I know they could use some tweaking, but not quite sure what it is. I have the raw file of the osprey alone on top of the tree. Also, I had to crop these quite a bit in order to post them, so there is much more you are not seeing.

Thanks!

Frank

I personally would clone out the branches on the one with the sky background, and I'm not sure as I'm starting to fall asleep, but both images look a little soft and contrasty. Or maybe it's just my vision getting blurry.

Other than that, nice shots

Have you tried sharpening? It won't mitigate all of the fuzziness from having to crop so much, but it might get you a little more detail.
