Post Picture of my dog, how is it?

Hey! I'm new to this forum, and new to photography all together. I'm just taking some practice shots, and I'm just looking for some opinions on my progress.

I shot this picture of my dog late at night, under normal house lights, with the camera on the ground, no tripod, but managed to keep the camera pretty still.

Tell me how it looks, any input is welcome, Thanks!

hi gabrielsphotos and welcome. i love dogs also. i like your picture very much, but the colour cast is a bit to much for me. hope you dont mind but i ran it through photoshop raw converter, i just hit the auto white balance then adjusted the curves and a little crop.

The colour seemed a bit off on the first pic but the edit fixed that issue. I do like the crop on the second pic, it's a bit tighter. I would have liked to see the same picture with a bit more space on the left but I think this works well anyway.
