Default It will be OK

Labs always look soooo sad to me but makes them have character in photos. What do yall think about this shot, no editing has been done I think I will crop out the other dogs leg on the left side of the pic but other than that what would you suggest.

Aww, I have a lab as well! But she's usually lying down on her back expecting a belly-rub...

Anyway, I agree with your idea to crop, as it's just a little distracting. Otherwise, I might try to bump up the contrast a little. It just looks a little flat right now.
In situations like this I like to leave more negative space on the side my subject is facing, but it's not too bad here.
Otherwise it looks pretty good. Great focus, right on the eye.
Nice work!

It seems a tad bright to me. But that may be my monitor. Cropping would be great. All in all it's a good picture. I like it.

aww he looks adorable! it makes you want to give him a big hug and scratch his belly to make him happy. i think its a great photo for capturing that feeling (must be the way his eyebrow wrinkles) otherwise, agree with comments already made. looks like you have a good subject. keep snapping

Love the shot. I would darken it a bit and crop from the left and top side of the picture so the face fills most of the shot. Thanks for sharing

I like the image, I agree that Labs always seem so sad, I have a chocolate lab and he is the same way.

I think the image could use a little contrast in PS or other Post programs, I like the DOF.

Happy "snapping"

Only thing that still kinda draws me off is the real focused grass to the left side but the rest of the grass is out of focus. I know it is because it is the same DOF as the eyes but I wish it was blurred like the rest of the grass
