Welcome to the forums.

I've resized your pictures for you. (You can read the critique forum rules here). In the future you may also want to limit your shots to one per critique thread as stated in the rules as well.

Hi madkitty and welcome to the forums!
The first one is a great scene but seems a bit soft....I'm guessing though its a bit hard to compose a shot when the feeling has left your fingers! Other than horizon being a bit tilted and pretty plain sky I think its a good composed shot. Maybe a bit more angle sending the creek diagonal could bring a bit more interest.

The second shot, might be a good subject but the area all around just seems a little blah for lack of a better word. A little washed out. Again I think the weather plays a big part in shots like this. I have taken quite a few in the last couple days that really are the exact same way. DOn't let it discourage you though there are plenty of things you can work on and practice when the weather turns on us.

Same here^^ Got my Camera about a month ago... Although there is a lot of snow around (which I would love to shoot) I just can't go out and shoot for a long time so Im usually not happy with my shots....As a consequence I started shooting Macros with the reversed Kit lens

I'm going to go boarding for a week on saturday though and Im planning on taking some action shots and some shots on the mountain so im really excited about that (You'll see the results when I get back^^)

I like the first one MK. Just use curves to pop the colours a bit and repair the slight overexposure and bingo!

As usual I took the liberty. I'll delete if you want me to.
