I like it! The exposer is just right the seal looks silky smooth such a funny pose. Just goes to show you being at the right place at the right time counts!

Talk about flexibility...
Great image. It really captures the moment.
The highlight on his chin is over-exposed, but it doesn't really bother me. It almost helps accentuated the smoothness of his fur.
Nice work!

Great composition. I like the angular look to the picture, adds more drama to the picture.

I like how you captured just enough of the surrounding to provide context to the sea lion. If you had not mentioned that you had taken this shot at Sea World, it looks like you were out by the bay or ocean someplace instead of at an amusement park. I like the fact that there is no trace of Sea World in the picture, rather it's just a nice shot of the sea lion in what looks like his natural habitat.

The deep blue color of the water in the upper left provides a nice contrast to the lighter color water where the it is flowing on the rock on the upper right side.

But the main thing that I really enjoy is the pose. It doesn't look like just a normal picture of a sea lion, the pose really captures a "clowning around" attitude. The wet, glistening look of the sea lion is also pleasing to my eyes as well.

I'm not sure if I would have preferred just a little bit more of the sea lion visible especially in the lower part of the picture. I see his tail sticking out on the lower right corner but because the rest of his body is cut out, his tail looks a bit disconnected and "floating". Maybe if the tail wasn't in the picture at all but then again, since that's how he posed and if you cropped the tail out now, he would look a little too close to the right side of the picture.

That's just a minor thing and not really worth correcting for me, but all in all, a fantastic picture.

It's a great pic - very well done. I think that although there are some small blown out patches, they work very well with this because they kind of add to the whole 'wet' look of the pic.

I keep forgetting how awesome the D40x is when used someplace OTHER than a poorly lit basement apartment LOL Awesome picture hazmat. Reminds me to take my camera outside more often.
