DOF is great. I really like the color as well. You might want to have a look at cropping it a few different ways, I think it might improve the attention on the subject. Maybe??? ))

XpLoiT,

Diagonal is a good idea, centering subject, not so much. If you cropped top and left, putting major crab in upper left thirds intersection, it would take on a dominant position over its cousins. Background would not be missed, could be lightened/blurred (suggesting frothy surf) to bring out crab even more.

XpLoit JiminyClikit pretty much nailed it as far as cropping (rule of thirds). I am by no means an expert but try experimenting and see what appeals to you more. That's what I found helped me the most while I was (still am) learning.

hmmm fair enough awesome ta for ideas, the diagonal line just came from the rock it was on, the camera was "level" (in my hands as such) so the diagonal wasnt on pupose haha but seems to have somewhat worked.

Yeah if you do edit it id be happy to see what you can come up with

always working on it and always happy to see it re edited.

i did have a play around and i did much the same crop, i just thought the rock was too heavy at the front? maybe yes maybe no? i dont know i just couldnt find a suitable "thats it" crop
