Hi,
Please feel free to critique this photo, it was for an assignment in my photo class. When I look at this photo it makes me feel very relaxed and have a feeling of peace. Canon Rebel XTi | Canon 17-85mm IS | Focal Length=61mm | Shutter=1/40 sec | Aperture = f/5.6 | Mode=Av | Flash=External | ISO:400 ![]() Version 2 "with" thumbs (what you can see of them) Thanks for mentioning the photo would be better with them. ![]() Thanks, Mitch Last edited by Mitchel; 12-14-2007 at 05:48 PM. I back WooD for the thumb not in composition. Overall, the picture and subject has the potential is able to tell a story. If you can, please take a few shots with different angles.

Thank you for the very nice comments and you are correct regarding the thumbs. I was not paying attention to the thumbs when I took some of the photos.
I do however have some with the thumbs, I will edit the original post and put it there. Thanks! Mitch

I actually think the lighting and composition are better on the first one. The shadows the hands and cross throw are a bit harsh in the second one IMO, and the way the DOF plays with the words in the book just seems, for lack of a better word, better in the first. That, and both the angle and lighting give me a more natural and relaxed feeling in the first one than in the second one. Great shot
