Hi and welcome to the group. Good exposure, color and sharpness at the critical part of the subject. May want to think about how the out-of-focus foreground affects the image. It would not have been as noticeable if the piece of stray grass was not there. Good composition. I wish the whole right foot would have been in the shot. Again, welcome to the group. What camera/lens are you useing for your work.

Thanks for the camera info. I had a look at your flickr photos. You have some nice work there such as #2996 and the food shot. I am not that familiar with the Canon line. What does the USM signify in regard to a lens? Another thought for future postings is to include some basic EXIF data such as ISO, aperture, shutter speed, camera/lens and any other data youthink would help the persons viewing your work. I realize some of the info is available on flickr but when you view many images a day, it saves time not to have to click back and forth to hunt for data. Keep up the great work!

Nicely composed and shot. Unfortunately that pesky little blade of grass throws it off.

Being the logical guy that I am, I'm looking at those little shoes and thinking somebody's not *really* balanced.

Thank you. I am currently deprived of an image software program. I have the Digital Photo Professional that came with my camera, but I'm still learning that as well. The post production is my biggest hurdle at this point!

I wonder if a tight horizontal crop might help this shot out... I could show you what I mean, but I'll hold off on editing your photo unless you say otherwise

as for post-processing, if you can't spend the money on something like photoshop, take a look at gimp

I don't think any software editing is really needed other than maybe a crop. In regards to comments about the grass, look out for issues like this when taking a shot. Pull distractions back out of the way or right out of the ground it's not something anybody or thing needs.

Ah! I thought it stood for "unsharp mask" lol.

I love this photo! I love the composition and colors - just everything about it!
