ToddC - that is absolutely wonderful. I love the mix of colors and overall balance of your shot. I wouldn't mind seeing a slightly more saturated version just to have a look at one with more pop, but on the whole it looks brilliant as is.

Matrixcowboy, your shot is very interesting. Only thing for me there is that I think you need to pick either the person who is framed in the background, OR the selective coloring. Having both is confusing for me.

Thanks Kathryn...
I was very concerned about over saturating this photo. I started with a RAW photo and made a slight color correction. I then bumped the curves and slightly increased the saturation.

Thanks again for your comments.

Cheers,
Todd

ToddC I like the other picture better although this one is exposed better. Changing the picture in post processing can be tough as there is a fine line between a good shot and something that looks really fake. Good processing can make the colours pop out and expose the picture correctly. I think that you are very close to that fine line but need just a bit more.

Well done!

I really like this version. My one and only qualm is the blown out sky. Other than that and possibly boosting the colors up just a touch this one has it , hands down

Actually no. I downloaded the picture from flickr and was about to open it in photoshop. I stopped after viewing it on my better monitor. The colours are much better on the other monitor.

But windrider86 is correct and the sky is a bit blown out. I didn't even notice it because of the wonderful colours in the foreground.

Again, very nice work.

I did not even realize the person in the background. I will figure out how to take that focus out. I was attempting he rule of thirds.... perhaps a retake with no one there is in order. Thank You

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to correct the overexposed areas in this photo? I should have used a polarizing filter!!!

Thanks,
Todd
