I took this photo this spring and I like it but it seems to be missing something. Just wondering if there are any suggestions. I have done a little post-processing but not much was needed; it was a beautiful sunny day that lent itself well to point and shoot photography.

rmeglath, Welcome

The view is probably really pleasant in reality. There are some things you might consider trying if you shoot another like it. Metering in an area of medium light may get those shadows in the trees to show detail. Focusing on those trees may also give overall photo a better sharpness; it's soft now. If you wait for that cloud to clear away, the sky would stand alone as attractive without it. If you shot earlier/later, the cast tree shadows would add more dramatic imagery to an otherwise bland roadway. Given the title, the vines on left are almost invisible. This can disappoint your viewer.

Ten people would shoot this 10 different ways; as point-and-shoot it is good. Try different things to go beyond good.

Hi. Jiminy offered some excellent advice. It does appear that you shot this around midday based on the tree shadows. Perhaps an early morning or late afternoon shot would have a completely differetn impact. When I look at shots like this I hope to find a subject the road leads me too such as an old cart or even some people on the road. Thanks for sharing your visit to the vineyard with us.
