Default Pawprints in the Snow

Can I get some critique on this photo?

Pawprints in the Snow

Exposure: 0.011 sec (1/90)
Aperture: f/5
Focal Length: 80 mm
ISO Speed: 500
Exposure Bias: 0/6 EV
White Balance: Cloudy

Only a small adjustment to sharpness and curves in Photoshop.

Should I have chosen a different white balance? Also, do you think it is too dark? Is there anything else I can do in post-processing to improve it?

Thanks!

Snow is a tricky thing. Especially if you're using an automatic setting as it tricks your metering system.
What's really throwing me off is that you shot this at ISO 500, but it does seem a little dark as you asked. Was this in the shade? Or was it dark outside? I'm pretty sure you could bump up the brightness with a simple levels adjustment.
Otherwise I like the DoF and the path you've created.
Good work!

Thats a really cool shot, I like it. DOF is really nice..I really didn't think it was all that dark, but maybe its just my moniter..could be a possibility. Nice work.

DOF , placement of tracks in snow all look good. Metering snow can be tricky next time try to over expose the image by 1/3 of a stop to brighten the snow a little.

I like the photo very much. The DOF is nice but if possible, I would have brightened it just a little bit. Nice....
