Default Need some feedback...

I'm new to DSLR and have been playing around with some portraits of my kids. I did this one late afternoon, with no natural light. I had to lighten it up a bit in Elements...I'm trying to figure out if it's too much now? Is there any other suggestions for improvements?

Thanks for the help!

Sue

P.S...I think my 'web' version looks a little pixelated...what is the best way to resize an image for this site?

Update: Here's the file on photobucket...

Hmm...
When I click the attachment it's looks a bit distorted as if you had taken a small version and enlarged it. Is that what happened?
You can always make an image smaller, but making it bigger is a whole new disaster...
Otherwise, for this site, it seems easiest to upload your pictures to a free flickr account, then post them from flickr to these threads.
From what I can see, the lighting looks nice and even, but it's really hard to tell from this file.

Actually, the problem was that it was a huge file and I resize it and 'saved as' several times til it would upload here...I'm not too sure of the best way to make the file small enough for uploading

Have you tried using flicker to upload your images? The site will resize your pictures for you and then you can pick the size that is best to post. usually the meduim sized picture
