Default Fender Strat

Hey everyone,
just finished looking at some gimp tutorials and thought this one turned out kinda cool. let me know what you think.

i think the green color in the guitar needs to be brought a bit more, anyone agree?

thanks.

Yep, I agree. Cool shot though. Those guitars have the best shapes and you can really do a lot of fun stuff photographically with them.

This post caught my eye. I'm a musician and sucker for Fenders. Great shot! Bringing the green out some more may be a good touch, but I don't think you should take it too far away from it's original color.

Thanks for the replies. I agree that I don't want to stray too far from the original sea green of the guitar since i like the color, but it was tough bringing that out without it looking kind of awkward. i'll work on it.

It's a beautiful thing...I love my strat....The picture is good. I like the black background, but I agree the saturation of the green needs to go up.

Other then that good "snap"

this is a really cool shot, good job. the only thing i will mention is that i see a few little white specks lurking. a quick clone should fix that though.
Does anyone else see that? or is it something on my computer screen? lol

Hi jyennie, another musician checking in... pretty good shot. I think the green is ok, but it's odd to me that the neck and especially the headstock are grey. Unless they are truly that color... then I can say I've seen something I've never seen before, heh heh.

BTW, I'm a gibson LP type of guy myself.

the neck and headstock are actually maple..pretty standard. but i made a copy of the picture, converted to black and white, and then a few other things i dont remember and finally selectively colored in the green. i should post the original to flickr as well.
