Hi!
I'm very new to taking photos so I'm very happy to find this place!

Here is a pic I shot yesterday.

Camera: Olympus E-500
Exposure: 0.017 sec (1/60)
Aperture: f/4.5

jungl,

Good to have new folks who bring such wonderfully different views. This is sharp enough, composed well, richly subtle in coloring. Foreground grabs, pulls me back to the rocks. There the lightness is somewhat distracting, but matting and frame might alleviate that. Or cropping higher up if there's more original. Really good overall.

Yes i like it too.
I think I would have choosen to have a lower point of view..but that is just me..

The sand freaks me out. Don't want any to get close to my camera

Thanks for the feedback. I tried the matting thing in photoshop, but I could not see any difference.

wow what a cool image, but I agree the top quarter is really distracting, maybe try a crop without all the white?

Should have thought more about composition when taking the photo.
Tried cropping, but it's hard in this case if I want to stay with 4:3 or 3:2.
