Default On a Train in Thailand - Please Critique!

DSC_0124.JPG

Hey guys, let me know what is right and wrong about this picture.

Some have suggested that I crop the person on the left .. since it distracts from the subject - the old lady in the center .. while some have suggested that i leave it as it is.

Let me know, look forward to reader feedback!

This should help me improve.

What kind of camera are you using? Was it possible to zoom in closer? If so I would have def done that. The person on the left is pretty distracting so is the right. Also the depth of field is to short to have the women properly in focus. Do you know what mode on your camera you used to take this photograph?

I actually didn't even notice the person on the left until a second look because of the giant brown pole (chair? something?) that was there. i would definitely get rid of that and the person and choose a smaller aperture to increase your DOF so the person on the right and the whole aisleway will be in better focus. i like the idea of the (candid?) type shot though.

I would personally crop out the lighter brown door on the right side of photo. otherwise i love this shot. I think although the subject is the women i love the over the shoulder shot from the person in front of you, it really creates a sense of place in the shot.
