Default Las Vegas re-shoot

Hey all!
Thanks to all of the great tips I received, I went out and re-shot The Mirage. Here are the results.

A couple of thoughts:
- What were you trying to capture? The lit building draws one's eye away from the foreground object that dominated your original shot.
- You shot the image well after sunset when no ambient daylight was still available to balance the incandescent lighting.
- IMHO, the shot as shown is a bit too underexposed .

Yeah - by the time I got there they had changed the lighting... go figure. At least I got it to be more clear. Maybe I could get rid of the building in the background? I don't know much about Photoshop, though.

Must agree, the white building on the right definitely draws ones eye away from the real object. Underexposed but a nice picture!

Try just cropping it out. It may work better without the building in the back. This picture is a big improvement from the last. Very crisp.

I think the composition in the first image was spot on this image looks like the camera may have been a little higher then before thus exposeing more of the building in the background. Also it does look a little dark a curve adjustment could help just don't over do it. Try masking the curve adjustment out in a layer mask where it doesn't look good. I think you need to lighten the palm trees and the forground water just a little.

The sharpness and DOF is much much better in this photo.

Nice work keep it up you'll get the shoot your looking for
