Default 2 Flowers

2 Flowers

Is this a well composed shot, or is the other flower a bit distracting? The colors have been bothering me... I can't decide whether to leave them or mess with them more. I made two color layers, one red and one yellow, and lowered the opacity of each. Any ideas with what to do with the color would be appreciated.

Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel
Exposure: 0.005 sec (1/200)
Aperture: f/4
Focal Length: 24 mm
ISO Speed: 100
Exposure Bias: 0/3 EV

Hi!, no problem with the composition, my main problem is the color, it feels a bit blownout. Maybe you can try to desaturate the background a bit so the colors of the flower looks better. Nice photo.

Just my humble opinion but I prefer for flowers to have a base, similar to showing trees rooted in the ground. Nice colors to work with but as shown, they appear a bit overexposed.

The only thing that I find distracting is the stem that is in between the two flowers that creates an upside down 'U'. What does the original look like?

I'd like to see the original too. As-is there's too much over-exposer. As far as composition, it looks almost comically like two eyes and a pug-nose. That wilted stem needs a snip.

I think it would also look nice if you cropped the flower on the right out, it's a little distracting - imho anyway.

Having both flowers would have been okay had they been closer.

I agree with filemanager, what did you want to achieve? I would presume to focus on the left flower. Then crop the other flower out. Just my opinion.
