Cool Lens Flare

Lens Flare

There is just something that keeps making my eyes want to stare at this. My eye always starts down at the flare and moves up through the small path of various reeds and branches guided by the back lighting from the sun my eye travels up through the snow to the sun out through the trees.

What about you?

Ok, I have to ask, why does the lens flare down at the bottom of the picture look so strange, like you coloured it in? I was ok until that bit.

no there was a blue color cast over the snow since it was in shadows so i removed that but didn't remove it from the flare that was there the orginal had that little rainbow in there.

Ok, I'm guessing it just did something strange during the processing I was just curious. I like the flare at the top, and I wonder how it would look if you were able to lighten the foreground a bit. But then I also wonder if that would ruin the flare. I'm a big fan of intentional lens flare when it works

How did I not know that? Is there anything there's not a group for on Flickr?

I like the shot...
But I think the Flare at the bottom is kinda distracting because of the rainbowy thing it has... it doesnt quite seem to fit the rest of the picture.

The Flare at the top looks great though

I LOVE Lens flares. My first picture I ever took was one with a lens flare.
