Yeah, I know about the blurriness and the shadow -- Squeacks was moving like crazy, and I only have a single 60W bulb in the room for light, and it's in the direction he was looking. :-(

I have to laugh! My first "shot that I'm proud of" taken with my 400D was of our cat "Brindy".

I love it! It could use a bit of lightening but I think it is great the way it is too, maybe due to the fact that my cat looks exactly like yours!

Cool shot! I wonder if you played with the color balance or hue/saturation if you could turn that bright, distracting cyan pillow into something more muted.
Edit: I decided to give it a shot.

I'm not that good with Photoshop, so thanks for your advice and example. :-) That cyan was was indeed too intense. I'll try to play around with it a little more after the holidays!
