Red face My Cat - first photo I think I'm proud of ;-)

I was just experimenting with curves in Photoshop -- trying to learn something new every day!

Thats a very crisp and clear photo.. Nice cat.. except few minor dings.. The white fur on the neck is not white, like the color on the paws.. may be there was not enough light there.. Is the left side ear blurry or is it just me seeing that way?

Beautiful pic. I like the bright colors...

Good luck!!

Yeah, I know about the blurriness and the shadow -- Squeacks was moving like crazy, and I only have a single 60W bulb in the room for light, and it's in the direction he was looking. :-(

Thanks for the compliments and your honesty though! :-D

I have to laugh! My first "shot that I'm proud of" taken with my 400D was of our cat "Brindy".

Oh, and you're also a A95 user, and Canadian to boot....it's all too much!

In all seriousness...I like the photo but would perhaps lighten it a bit?

I love it! It could use a bit of lightening but I think it is great the way it is too, maybe due to the fact that my cat looks exactly like yours! Nice work.

Cool shot! I wonder if you played with the color balance or hue/saturation if you could turn that bright, distracting cyan pillow into something more muted.

Edit:

I decided to give it a shot.

I'm not that good with Photoshop, so thanks for your advice and example. :-) That cyan was was indeed too intense. I'll try to play around with it a little more after the holidays!
