clockdoc,
Thanks for your reply I am fairly new to digital photography and I am still learning I didn't care much for the lack of control that the HP point and shoot camera offered, so I bought a D-100 from a friend of mine (the price was right) but it is a different world compared to my trusty old Cannon 35mm. I appreciate any advise that anyone has to offer, and I will only post one pic from now on. Dave -papabear Last edited by papabear; 12-08-2007 at 03:50 PM. Reason: spelling |

what a great time you and your kids must have had that day.....doc is right....your camera metered the light from the background and underexposed your subjects.....at first blush, you might think that your point and shoot lacks control......but if you think about the shot as a whole and angle yourself for a less light contrasted frame, you can work around this one aspect of metering.....
since you are familiar with your old 35mm, break out the manual to your p & s and see what all you can do......most point and shoots have a lot of creative options that, if explored, can lead to amazing images..... thanks for sharing peeper |
