Default Kitten's eye close up

Here's a pic I took of a kitten:

Kirby's Eye

Details:
1/200, f5.6, 55 mm
Post processing done in Aperture, converted to B&W with a green filter.

Besides the obvious eye booger in the corner of his eye, I thought this came out pretty well. Any thoughts on what I could have done better?

Thanks,

Joe

I agree. This is excellent! How did you decide on the green filter when converting to B&W? What was your light source? Nice work!

Very nice, I like it a lot. I especially like the sharp focus on the eye and the split down the middle of the nose.

I also think, that you did pretty well. I can feel the sharpness of the eye, I also liked your framing.

Thanks!

I decided on the green filter after comparing it to the others in Aperture. The green just looked best to me.

I used the on-camera flash, plus the few lamps that were on in the room.

May we also see the original color version (cropped exactly like the B&W)?
