Default We don't live here anymore.

I don't really wanna explain this one too much and see what people think at first glance. If you want the story behind it, its a link to the flickr page with the back story.

I'm interested in technical and artistic critique along with , and maybe more importantly, what sort of feeling do you get from the image. Thanks for your time.

Default Looks like urban decay to me.

Wow- what an evocative shot. I got an immediate catch in my throat.

As far as composition goes the chimney in the background distracted me a bit. I'd tried cropping down to just the tub in a horizontal format. I think that would yield the same sense of melancholy without the distraction.
Great photo-you obviously "saw" what you were looking at.

sad to say, first thought was 'it's tilted'
after I got past that point though I went to the decay, wondering where the rest of the house is..
may not hurt to get a slightly closer crop, take out the red bit of the chimney as it's distracting and enough off of the left to maintain aspect ratio but not cut into the tub.

rivetgeek,

Feeling? Loss, life out of balance, remembering but from the devastated side of melancholy, how fragile and momentary our lives are, and that words are never enough.

Techically, I think it lacks more space, maybe on the left. It needs more background atmosphere - putting only two items in a narrow frame feels like intruding the place. On the other hand, more space and a distance would give a feeling of respect to its tragedy. Anyway, just a bit further away from it, so you don't lose the detail. I would leave it as a portrait - the portrait is kind of aggresive itself, but on the other hand it gives the impression of importance.

I like the chimney, It's red color adds to the emotion. The leaves are a poetry here (more leaves on additional space would be nice too). And if you could have more of the stairs on the bottom left... Stairs could be really suggestive, leading your eyes to the fireplace.

I'd focus the fireplace, bathtub doesn't have much detail anyway. I'd try to move it a bit more to the right... but I'm not sure about this.

Anyway, I just wanted to point the details that maybe you need to pay attention to. You picked a very good scene! It woud be great if you could go back and try shooting from different angles.

i like it ,its got a lonely type of feel about it almost deserted feel with the amount of scattered leaves i think its one of those shots that would look good with the camera on a obscure angle ,nice shot
