Default Not just another pretty face.

This was pretty much an impromptu shot that just happened to come out great. The only post processing was using the channel mixer to convert to B&W and adjusting the contrast and saturation just a touch.

I'd love some feedback on it though as I'm just getting started.

Not just another pretty face V2

don't think I'd change anything. the depth of field and tonal range are great.

I think this is well done. The person's face with the dark eye's (shadow) looks great in the B/W. Good decision in processing. Good start..Is this a starter?

as with my post in the HITI topic I like it and am kinda curious how it would look with some color back in the eyes and maybe lips.. see the tutorial on the 'Mono with a Touch of Colour'

Starter? Not sure what you mean by that.

I guess the shot plus the conversion to monochrome was well done.
My only suggestion is to clean up the background by darkening the highlights a bit as it somehow competes for attention.

hoges,

Man, scrolling down in anxiety, hoping it's not just me . . . this was a stand-out in portraits, I thought because of its color values (and the eyes). I'm all for trying new ways to see an image, and still vote for this original.
