Post Gates to heaven...

I took this shot on a recent trip to Rome. I have just bought my Canon 30d. I cannot remember the f stop details (think it was f16). I really like the way that the statue of st. peter blocks the way to the other biblical figures.....the sky was pretty good aswell.

Would appreciate any suggestions on reframing, composition and tinting.

EXIF info says f/20, 1/50", ISO 100, shutter priority
I like this, but it was one of those cases where the title influenced how I felt. "Gates to Heaven" makes the clouds and sky important as well as the positioning of the statues and gives it a story, not just a monument snapshot. It looks like you used a fairly wide angle lens; good choice.

Beautiful composition and color.

I kind of wish it had a little more contrast or something; the building in the background seems a little 'flat' to me somehow, but it's a minor issue at best! The statue, which dominates, is sharp and beautiful... in all, I really like the shot.
