Sorry, KP, that happens sometimes!

Nice catch getting the shot with the flakes falling. There might be a few too many elements to this shot. To keep this from being just a nice snapshot, try doing something out of the ordinary. An unusual angle or a close-up would turn this into a better image. Try a shot close to the mailbox showing only the edge of the snow hanging onto the flag. You would get the same effect without the distracting brick and window in the background.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. It looked a little busy to me too. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate you taking the time.

Kpclark -- Not much to add besides what Saralonde has already mentioned, but I agree with the idea that it's a nice subject -- you just need more of it. One of those vague but useful principles that I use is that if I'm not entirely satisfied with a shot and I can't quite figure out why, getting closer almost always helps. That would have served well here, as you could have filled the frame more with the primary subject and eliminated some of the busy background. Hope to see more soon. Thanks for sharing!

Kpclark1959,

You could say, "Wow! 57 views and not one Criticism! It's left them speechless!"

First thought: a little busy, a subject you would have personal interest in, otherwise a good shot.

Sorry, I've been a bit busy with work lately and am usually pretty good about trying to comment on pics. I've a pic or tow that have been bypasse dmyself so i knwo what you mean.
I agree with Satalonde about perhpas trying a different angle on this one. Too much going on in the background or perhaps you could blur the background?
