What a wonderfull place to be at Paul..the composition is really nice...u managed to get the right dof and frame, but i honestly feel it misses the WOW feeling..the pop is exactly not there...whats the EXIF data for the above ... this could get much better with some post processing though.

nathan - I can't remember the exact PP I did however it wasn't much, I think it was only toning down the colours a little to give it the painted feel. I was hoping to get a picture for the wall, but didn't want one that jumped out too much.
wulf - I agree that it would be better with more space to the left as the river does curve round and very nicely too. However with the gear I had I couldn't get wide enough to include all that I would have liked. thanks for the comments

Did you have a tripod or reasonably firm support for your camera? If so, you could take several shots and blend them into a panorama before applying the other post processing work. If you are just trying to simulate a slightly wider lens because the scene you want is a touch too wide and you can't simply stand further back, you probably only need a couple of shots to do the job.

thanks for the info wulf, never thought of doing that at the time. I couldn't get any further back without swimming in the river, but I did have the tripod with me, just never thought of using it.
