See, the funny thing is - it was a bit of a "mis-fire" this is the whole shot... me flinching away from the light I just turned on that nearly burnt my face...

See!...lol

In the original I find the very right side a little washed out compared to the darker side. I do like the crop, but in all honesty I think I prefer the original "mis-fire". It may not be what you were looking for but I'm a huge fan of people shots that show emotion so I like it a lot.

I like both of them.

I would remove a bit of the left side in the first shot. Your eye is really sharp in the first shot. It's the first thing I noticed.

The second is very candid. It reminds me of someone turning on the lights when I first wake up. Of course this is almost what happened aside from the waking up part.

Was it a black and white picture to begin with or did you make it black and white during post processing? I'm curious about the colour pictures.

I agree with Manila_Joe - I really like both of them but for different reasons. When I saw the first I said cool shot and then I saw the rest of you. I give my husband that look every morning.
