seems a bit out of focus and noisy...I think as far as the background goes a selection of the guy and a gaussian blur to the background could bring him out a bit more. I think when you have him selected you should adjust levels a bit by bringing the highlights in a bit and the mids up a bit...he is a bit dark all over and not alot of detail in the clothing. Do you have PS or any editing program?

As pinball said blur the background, lower the highlights and push the midtones. Decomposed with LAB in GIMP and just kept the L. Sharpened the foreground and blurred the background again
As usual I've taken liberties. If you want it deleted just PM me. I've left another couple of versions on Picassa web for you to check out.

I find it looks more realistic when you use a lens blur on the background instead of gaussian, but thats just my opinion.
