Default Baby, It's Cold Outside

Another from the morning of the Frozen Hip.

Again, basic crop in Photoshop. No other adjustments.

NIce concept echo9er. I like the shot but think it could benefit from a few ore blades in focus....seems most of this shot is out of focus....which can work fine but this shot it seems the couple focused blades are not enough of a subject.....I think to have just a couple in focus maybe try and find a couple higher than all the rest and let the background have less blades out of focus and more contrasting colors.
i like the ice crystals on the tips....would love to see a real close up macro of those!

I would tighten the crop to include the not-quite in-focus blade on the left as the left 3rd, and the partially in-focus blade on the right as the right 3rd. Then crop the top down a bit to just above the line of most of the the out-of-focus blades.

I think that should help carry the attention to the subject.

Looks like a very cold shot. Try cropping it in portrait. Include the two main blades of grass. This might bring out the main focus a bit.

Thanks for the comments/suggestions. I'll play around some and post a version 2 later.

I agree - I'd like to see more grass blades as the subject of the picture.

Excellent concept!
