Default Boy playing with water

hi !

I took this shot of a boy playing at a water fountain in his undies. Tho it's hilarious to me and my friends, what would make it a better picture ? Should I have included his rear ? It was a little cloudy and his face was mostly in the shadows I think...

Let me know what you guys think...

Many thanks!

I think the cropping is okay. If anything, I might have taken a little more off the right (just chopping off the bit where you can see his finger poking under his leg) and perhaps wanted a bit more space on the left (you are missing a few drops of water).

Flash might have helped fill in the details and balance the lighting although you wouldn't want it too harsh. What kind of camera are you using?

Overall though, an interesting subject idea and one that you can probably wring more out of if the situation presents itself again.

This is a very candid and funny shot, though I would have preferred a wider view without the right crop, stilll this make a very clear statement. I agree with Wulf in all other observations.
Could you also post the EXIF please.

hi, noted on the cropping, thanks..I didnt remember if I had the flash on, it was a pretty spontaneous shot, was practically scrambling for my camera (Canon 400D)

There you have it - flash off (that's why EXIF data is so useful). If this was taken somewhere near you, it might worth going back (on a sunnier day) and seeing if you can get some similar shots. Flash will help fill in the details even if the camera thinks the scene as a whole is well exposed.
