Default Hangin leaf

Hi, its my first post. Thanks for the critique.
Nikon D80, 18-55mm kit lens. f3.5, 30sec. w/tripod
I was hanging around the hospital parking lot around 8pm, and saw the hangin leaf. Ive only been shooting for about a month or so. I shrunk it to 620by 280 like the rules said but it seems smaller than others ive seen.
Thanks

i love the color of this picture, great work.
I am new to this forums but I think because its a vertical shot, the dimensions should be swopped from 620 by 280 to 280 by 620? .. i don't know i'm just guessing.
shoot some more, looks great

Needs to see a bigger image for any constructive criticism. The warm clolour looks good, that's it. I would sujject you to have a free account in Flickr and put the hyperlink in your thread, as most of us do. This also gives us an option to see larger images.

Much better and now the detail really is visible.....at first I thought the color was a bit muting the subject but now it stands out.
Nice shot but not sure about composition.....
Love the colors and the faint lights in the background!

I agree about the composition. Putting the centre of the leaf at the bottom right 1/3 point seems to give it more movement.
