Default My shots,Your Critiques.

It is not easy to critique another image, Even critiquer should take more time to deliver his thoughts which should help/ enlarge photographer skills in his future shot and it will also gives boost/ reward for his work.

here i will post my picture and i kindly request my friends here to critque my shots and will helps me to drive go out of Amature.

Here are the questions I would ask myself if it were my shot:

1. Would it be better if the candle was in focus? (probably... much easier if your camera lets you manually focus)

2. Why is there so much empty space down the right hand side? (I would almost certainly crop a bit more from the right)

3. Was this the best smoke pattern out of the session?

I would also be unlikely to frame it with such a heavy border although, FWIW, I probably wouldn't frame it at all.

I agree with Wulf's assessments, particularly about getting the candle in focus. Smoke has a tendency to look out of focus when you shoot it, so getting the candle sharp would balance it a bit more.

pcp,

While experimenting with composition and focus to improve there, hold on to the colors you have here. They are rich and make the photo better than many. It's difficult to get it all to happen in one photo, but you can do it.
